Inside the dimora

A home discovered slowly.

The apartment unfolds across generous and slightly unconventional spaces. Exposed stone, warm timber and a traditional fireplace give the rooms a sense of age and permanence, while the mezzanine and changes in level create a layout unlike a newly built apartment.

One of the home’s most distinctive features is a detailed stone mural of Sardinia, tracing the full island and rooting the interior in the place beyond its walls.

Dimora Ardoino continues to evolve. Sardinian ceramics, baskets, cork, textiles and art will be added gradually, chosen for their connection to local makers rather than simply to complete a decorative theme.

Not designed all at once, but shaped over time.

Step outside into the narrow streets of Alghero’s historic center, with the marina, waterfront walls, restaurants, cafés and everyday life all within an easy walk. Dimora Ardoino is for guests who want to experience the city from within it.
